Job Title: Prep Cook - Entry Level | Halal Restaurant Group| Full-Time & Part-Time
Location: Garfield, NJ | In-Person | Day & Evening Shifts Available

What We Offer

Shifts Available
  • 9:00am - 2:00pm
  • 2:00pm - 6:00pm
  • 9:00am - 5:00pm
  • Monday - Saturday
  • Sundays always off

What You'll Do
  • Prepare Halal ingredients following recipes with accuracy and consistency
  • Clean, trim, and portion poultry and assist with all recipe preparations
  • Follow food safety and sanitation protocols at all times
  • Maintain a clean, organized prep kitchen and warehouse
  • Receive, stock, and rotate inventory using FIFO freshness calendars
  • Lift and move 10-50 lbs of materials and equipment as needed
  • Work with focus and urgency to complete tasks efficiently each shift

What We're Looking For
  • No experience required - entry-level candidates are welcome
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking with strong attention to detail
  • Able to follow directions and communicate openly with the team
  • Passionate about food and takes pride in quality work
  • Able to stand and walk for a full shift
  • Maintains personal hygiene and wears a clean uniform daily

A plus if you have:
  • Kitchen prep or food handling experience
  • Knife skills or experience trimming, deboning, and portioning poultry
  • Knowledge of safe poultry handling temperatures and cross-contamination prevention
  • Familiarity with FIFO inventory rotation and food safety standards
