Tile Helper- Entry Level

Location: Sioux Falls, SD

Pay: $18-$20/hour

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am- 4:30 pm

This is an entry-level position where candidates will assist in tile installations by helping installers bring in materials, lay materials, and clean up after jobs are completed. Initially, the role involves supporting tasks such as mixing, moving tiles, and performing grout work. Over time, the candidate will be trained to become an installer through a three-year apprenticeship program, ultimately progressing to a journeyman level.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in tile installations by transporting materials and laying them out.
  • Mix thin set and perform grout work.
  • Clean up job sites after installations are complete.
  • Engage in grunt work including hauling and detailed tasks.
  • Participate in a three-year apprenticeship to advance towards journeyman level.

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum of 6 months construction-related experience.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift 75lbs and carry up and down stairs.
  • Willingness to travel out of town with overnight stays.
  • Proficiency in reading a tape measure.
  • Teachability and a positive attitude.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
