Job description

We are seeking an Entry-Level Geologist or Engineer to become a part of our team at our Long Beach Office! You will work as part of a team to help implement multi-media investigations and implement innovative remedial strategies to cost-effectively address impacts to the environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect field data (air, soil and groundwater)
  • Work with large data sets
  • Evaluate data trends
  • Map data with GIS
  • Develop engineering drawings with AutoCad
  • Develop charts, graphs, figures and site plans
  • Draft written text for reports and workplans

​​Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in geology, civil engineering, environmental engineering, or related field and an interest in pursuing a career in the environmental industry
  • Environmental related Master's degree is a plus
  • Familiarity with reading and preparing technical drawings
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Experience in GIS and/or AutoCad
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Motivated self starter
  • Professional situational awareness

The base salary range for this position is just one component of BEC's total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location. Over the past 15 years BEC has never failed to be profitable and has never failed to share that profit with key employees as part of the annual bonus program.
