Full Stack Developer 2 - (Full Stack, Django, FastAPI)
Clearance: TS/SCI - Polygraph required
Position ID: 20-18-041-SWE2
Location: Fort Meade, Maryland
Description:
You will act as a full stack developer for a system supporting mission management and workflow automation. You will develop, maintain, and modernize a full stack application including a data orchestration platform. You will be working with a mixed skillset team consisting of developers, analysts, and subject matter experts in close collaboration with the mission customer.
  • Funding expected 9/1.
  • Perform full stack development of system features based on customer requirements, with a particular focus on backend API development.
  • Implement feature additions and updates in response to evolving mission-driven requirements.
  • Provide development support to automation development team, including providing code reviews and software-engineering expertise as well as identifying and developing enabling functions to support automations.
  • Modernize and harden mission management system, including assisting with migration of the system to modern infrastructure (Kubernetes), performing system updates and upgrades, and developing and implementing additional security features into the system.

Position Required Skills:
  • Experience building full-scale applications and APIs with Django, Flask, FastAPI, etc.
  • Service containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (including Helm chart authoring and CI/CD integration)
  • Proficiency with SQL and noSQL databases (PostGres, MySQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, etc).
  • Familiarity with Git.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).

Nice to Haves
  • Experience with data orchestration platforms such as Dagster or Airflow
  • Full-stack application development experience including front-end frameworks (React, Vue, etc.)
  • Familiarity with automation testing and CI/CD pipeline development
  • Experience with production CNO capabilities and operations.

YOE Requirement: 8 yrs., B.S. in a technical discipline or 4 additional yrs. in place of B.S.
Salary Range: $191k-$234k (Annually)
The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
