Job description

4Sight Search Solutions is currently recruiting a Junior Coffee Machine Technician / General Helper for a successful and growing specialty coffee retailer/distributor in Calgary, AB. Our client is dedicated to investing in their team and offers comprehensive training and career development to help the right person grow into a skilled industry professional.

This is a fantastic entry-level or junior opportunity for someone with a foundational technical background and an eagerness to learn. In this role, you will be a "jack of all trades," helping out in multiple areas of operations—including product repackaging (repack), shop support, and junior technician tasks. If you are mechanically inclined and want a supportive environment to build your skills, we want to hear from you!

  • Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Flexibility for Saturday shifts is required (approximately 2 Saturdays per month).

  • Rate of Pay: $20.00 – $22.50 per hour (Starting rate based on baseline experience and aptitude).

  • Benefits: Available after 3 months.

  • Vacation: 2 weeks during the first year; 3 weeks after the first year.

Responsibilities
  • Assist senior technicians with the diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of home or commercial espresso machines, coffee brewers, and grinders.
  • Learn to adjust and replace components of equipment according to manufacturer's specifications under professional supervision.
  • Provide cross-functional support across multiple areas of the business, including product repackaging (repack) and general shop organization.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workshop environment.
  • Assist with the accurate completion of work order documents within company standards.
  • Respond to basic customer inquiries and resolve issues with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Requirements
  • Some foundational electrical, troubleshooting, or related hands-on technical experience is required (e.g., hobbyist experience, technical schooling, or previous minor repair work)
  • Prior coffee industry or espresso machine repair experience is a bonus, but not required—our client will fully train and develop you!
  • Flexibility to work Saturdays (approximately 2 weeks/Saturdays a month).
  • A strong work ethic, reliability, and an eager-to-learn attitude.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (not repetitive or constant).
  • Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Strong attention to detail and good time management skills.
