Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

The successful athlete will be organized, detail oriented, and versatile with excellent communication skills.  Illustrator and Photoshop skills necessary to ensure graphic design integrity and maintain product quality.  Will work with customer supplied art as well as original Concept Art created in-house. Responsible for gaining knowledge about processes, technical and conceptual thinking in order to manipulate art as needed to compensate for any production methods to insure design integrity. Will develop skills in brand identity, color, and graphic design techniques to support creation of conceptual and original design.  This is a fast paced, exciting work environment where you will work with a passionate team, producing quality production ready files.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for creating computer generated and/or full color graphics output that can be processed or layer separated through internal technology.
  • Builds out technical graphics to support innovative machines and changes to processes, that detail specific template attributes necessary for replication (i.e. font size, position and layout, color, abbreviations).
  • Creates art files and proofs for internal or external customer.
  • Must maintain the aesthetic integrity of replicated fonts and detailed graphics for our licensed partners
  • Responsible for color matching product across multiple product categories
  • Able to propose process refinements whenever opportunity arises
  • Mentors' production art associates
  • Assist Supervisor & Managers with flex assignments as needed.
  • Treats others with respect and conducts themselves in a positive and inclusive manner daily. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  EDUCATIONAL & Experience REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school graduate or its equivalent.
  • Illustrator and Photoshop proficiency to ensure graphic design integrity
  • Digital work experience in the art field a plus.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload, adapt to change, and maintain composure under pressure. 
  • Maintains a positive and professional attitude towards team, vendors, and clients.
  • Functional computer skills
  • Familiarity with Pantone Matching System
  • Entry-level production art knowledge
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Can manage projects individually or as a part of a team.
  • Results driven and solutions focused
  • Ability to work in a fast pace and dynamic environment
  • Sports fan a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to learn and apply accurate PMS Color matching knowledge and distinguish between similar shades of color
  • Ability to maintain focus for extended periods of time
  • Ability to utilize a computer continuously
  • Ability to sit continuously

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The compensation rate is $18/hour which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation.
