Acutronic is looking for a Test Engineer III who will perform a wide range of tasks including: product testing, validation/qualification, assembly, supply chain, inventory, and quality management; as well as manufacturing and engineering tasks. The goal and purpose of the Test Engineer’s job duties will be to maintain robust operational systems to achieve manufacturing consistency, drive continual improvement, and reduce product defects and human error. 

Test Engineer III

Your Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test procedures and functional testing for jet engine systems and subsystems
  • Select and integrate appropriate test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems to support required data collection for jet engine system and subsystem testing
  • Ensure instrumentation and test equipment remain calibrated in accordance with internal standards
  • Collect, analyze, and post-process test data in accordance with internal and customer requests
  • Generate test reports, documentation, and data packages
  • Develop test standards, procedures, standard work, and safety protocols
  • Continuously improve test facilities, data acquisition capabilities, and test equipment
  • Develop relevant procedures and instructions to support QC methods, changes or formalized decisions
  • Design and implement sampling procedures and related instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data
  • Lead and/or support negotiations with customers concerning quality demand fulfillment(s); and/or resolution of quality deficiencies including preparing external customer documentation

Your Profile/Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field required
  • At least seven years of experience in testing of aerospace systems
  • Strong background in measurement of pressures, temperatures, fluid flow, vibration, etc; with experience in standard measurement techniques, instrumentation options, and data acquisition systems
  • Working knowledge of LabView or similar data acquisition systems
