Job Summary
The Test Engineering Supervisor will manage the planning, development, and implementation of procedures for the testing and evaluation of products for all phases of product development and/or manufacturing. Specifies tests to be performed, compiles data, and makes recommendations for changes required in testing equipment procedures, manufacturing processes, new testing requirements and/or design of testing equipment. Recommends the purchase of test equipment. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
Job Description
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Establish test lab standards and operating procedures
  • Maintain and continue to improve test lab facilities and equipment to maintain or increase testing accuracy to increase testing abilities
  • Create test lab - "Product Test Schedule" across all projects (new and existing product testing).
  • Assign work to test lab staff. Direct and monitor test lab staff work on daily basis, to ensure work is done on time (per schedule) and test data is accurate.
  • Review and approve test lab reports before they are released.
  • Discuss test results / reports with Engineering upon completion of testing.
  • Direct training / education of test lab staff.
  • Play key role in creating Annual Expense and Capital Budgets.
  • Assist Services to solve Field Unit Problems, as required
  • Assist manufacturing to solve Manufacturing Unit Problems, as required.
