Associate Attorney (Insurance Defense) - Jacksonville, FL or Tallahassee, FL

Kelley Kronenberg, a premier national law firm, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our First-Party Property Defense team based out of Jacksonville, Florida. This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney with a passion for litigation who is eager to build a career in insurance defense, particularly in first-party property claims. Our firm offers a collaborative and supportive environment where attorneys can grow professionally while handling complex and high-stakes litigation. This position is open to candidates located in our Jacksonville or Tallahassee offices. 

As an Associate Attorney, you will manage a caseload of first-party property defense matters, working closely with partners and clients to develop litigation strategies, conduct legal research, draft pleadings and motions, and represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials. This position is ideal for a motivated litigator with at least one year of first-party property experience who is looking for a long-term opportunity to develop their practice with a leading insurance defense firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle all aspects of litigation in first-party property defense cases from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Take and defend depositions, attend mediations, and represent clients in court hearings.
  • Develop and execute effective case strategies in collaboration with partners and clients.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and strategic counsel.
  • Stay current on industry trends, case law, and legislative developments impacting first-party property litigation.
Requirements:
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Florida and in good standing with the Florida Bar.
  • 2+ years of experience in first-party property litigation or insurance defense.
  • Strong research, writing, and litigation skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively advocate for clients.
