Blackout Defense is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Trigger Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role focuses on the assembly, inspection, tuning, and quality control of AR15 trigger systems and related firearm components.

The ideal candidate must have prior firearm experience through professional work, personal build experience, competition shooting, gunsmithing, or similar hands-on exposure. This is not an entry-level firearm role โ€” candidates must understand how an AR15 trigger should properly function and feel.

Responsibilities

Assemble AR15 trigger systems and small firearm components

Assemble related parts including charging handles, selectors, and hardware assemblies

Inspect and verify fitment, tolerances, and function of components

Identify and troubleshoot trigger characteristics including:

Creep

Pre-travel

Post-travel

Reset issues

Inconsistent pull characteristics

Identify manufacturing or assembly issues such as:

Oversized or undersized bushings

Tight or damaged threads

Tolerance stacking issues

Improper fitment or machining inconsistencies

Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards

Maintain organized workstations and follow assembly procedures

Assist with production workflow and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications

Strong familiarity with AR15 platform firearms

Hands-on experience with AR15 triggers and lower receiver components

Ability to identify proper trigger feel and diagnose functional issues

Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail

Comfortable working with small parts and precision assemblies

Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistency in assembly processes

Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Preferred Experience

Firearm manufacturing or gunsmithing experience

Competitive shooting or extensive personal AR15 build experience

Experience working with tolerances, fitment, and QC inspection processes

Familiarity with trigger tuning and diagnostics
