Job description

SUMMARY OF POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITY:

The Production Supervisor role at Allied Stone is pivotal for orchestrating seamless manufacturing operations. The primary responsibility involves overseeing and coordinating production activities to ensure alignment with quality standards, safety protocols, and delivery schedules. Leading a team of dedicated production workers, the supervisor fosters a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Key duties include coordination and oversight of all production stages, team leadership to inspire excellence, stringent quality assurance measures, ensuring safety compliance, and driving continuous process improvement. This role plays a critical part in maintaining our reputation for top-notch products while optimizing efficiency and fostering innovation within our workforce.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide direct supervision to the stone fabrication team, ensuring they are motivated, engaged, and aligned with production goals.
  • Coordinate and allocate resources effectively, considering workload, skills, and deadlines.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of stone fabrication machinery, including CNC machines and related equipment.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications, guiding the team in machine setup for accurate cutting, shaping, and finishing of stone products.
  • Monitor and adjust machine settings as needed, promptly addressing any issues to maintain optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular maintenance on machines, troubleshoot problems, and ensure all equipment is in working order.
  • Inspect finished products personally to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Enforce and maintain rigorous quality control processes throughout the production cycle.
  • Enforce safety protocols and regulations, fostering a culture of safety within the team.
  • Provide ongoing training to the team, ensuring they are well-versed in safety procedures and efficient machine operation.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of machine maintenance, production output, and incidents during the manufacturing process.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate reporting and seamless production workflows.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.


QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TRAINING):

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education:

  • Technical or vocational training in machine operation or a related field.

Required Experience:

  • 2 yearsโ€™ experience in the stone fabrication industry.

Preferred Experience:

  • 1 year of experience in a frontline leadership role
