Job description

1. General Information

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Department: Engineering

Location: Downtown Miami, FL

Reports to: Engineering Lead

2. Detailed Information 2.1 PURPOSE OF ROLE

eMed's innovative GLP-1 platform already serves more than 100,000 patients. As we accelerate our growth, we are establishing a new engineering team in Miami, Florida, to partner closely with our US-based product team and senior leadership in building the next generation of chronic care management technology.

As a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) at eMed, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining critical components of our platform. You will collaborate closely with our US-based product team, leveraging cuttingโ€‘edge AI tools to build features across the stack and deliver delightful, engaging user experiences that set our products apart.

Youโ€™ll collaborate with crossโ€‘functional partners to deliver highโ€‘quality solutions that directly improve the lives of our users, while helping shape and elevate our culture of engineering excellence.

2.2 WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
  • Lead the design and development of complex systems or critical features
  • Work across the stack and leverage AI to bring ideas to life quickly
  • Perform handsโ€‘on R&D, build prototypes, and iterate quickly based on findings
  • Drive projects with multiple contributors across teams or functions, ensuring technical alignment and timely delivery to a high degree of quality
  • Set engineering standards through code reviews, documentation, and process improvements
  • Own production quality for your systems. Proactively monitor, debug, and resolve issues while designing for resilience and observability.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to product, design, and other crossโ€‘functional partners, translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Mentor other engineers, sharing deep technical expertise, modeling good decisionโ€‘making.
  • Contribute to team strategy and planning, bringing a technical perspective to roadmap discussions and helping define longโ€‘term direction.
  • Be able to contribute to and, on occasion, lead inโ€‘person, daily standโ€‘ups
  • Influence broader engineering practices and culture beyond your team, contributing to crossโ€‘team initiatives and tooling
2.3 WHAT WEโ€™RE LOOKING FOR Technical Skills (Essential)
  • Strong fullโ€‘stack proficiency in TypeScript, with experience building production systems using React, React Native, Node.js or other similar app frameworks
  • Comfortable building, shipping, and maintaining mobile applications, with a strong understanding of established UI/UX patterns and best practices.
  • Strong proficiency with AIโ€‘native development tools and workflows, including Cursor, Claude, and AIโ€‘assisted design and prototyping tools.
  • Skilled in system design, scalable architecture, and backend/frontend development
  • Experience with tools and platforms such as AWS, Expo, Vercel or Camunda
  • Proficient in writing clean, maintainable, wellโ€‘tested code and conducting thorough code reviews
  • Comfortable owning functionality endโ€‘toโ€‘end, including supporting production systems, monitoring health, and resolving incidents
  • Able to lead technical discussions, evaluate tradeโ€‘offs, and align others around sound decision
