Job description

Our client, a leading FinTech company based in the Boston area, is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their Customer Success and Operations team. This person will work closely with CS Managers to bridge the gap between our client's systems and customers. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to work hands-on with modern technologies while solving complex problems and providing superior client support service for our client's SaaS offering.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deep technical and usable experience in Financial Services SAAS platforms.
  • Technical liaison within our Customer Success team.
  • Effectively communicate to customers during complex SAAS impacting events.
  • Perform complex triage management, break/fix, and restoration of production service.
  • Collaborate with the various teams to ensure that problems are resolved effectively and efficiently.
  • Support existing and modern technologies within our full software stack.
  • Develop and utilize technical tools and scripted solutions to automate and enhance our daily processes.
  • Participate in on-call rotation with other member of the team.

Required skills:

  • Experience working in a SaaS environment.
  • Hands-on technical experience as a Systems Engineer, Software Engineer, Software Support Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), DevOps Engineer or related position.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills and experience working directly with clients.
  • Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical executives.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira and ServiceNow (or similar project management/software development tools)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting a Windows environment
  • Experience with monitoring tools to identify potential failures and support forensic investigation
  • Bash/PowerShell/Perl/Python or other scripting experience
  • Financial services/FinTech experience.
