Job description

Florida SouthWestern State College is accepting resumes for a FA Specialist I position to join our team of exceptional employees. This is an entry-level position in the Office of Student Financial Services. Individuals in this position are trained in all aspects of the Student Financial Services operation. The SFS Specialist I provides processing support and disseminates information to students and other staff. Close monitoring is received from department leadership and Student Financial Services Specialists II. Work requires close adherence to stated financial aid policies and procedures and applicable federal and state regulations. This position sets the tone for a student-centered, high-performance culture that emphasizes excellence in service, quality, productivity, and standards.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited College or University in a related field. 
  • One (1) year full-time or two (2) years part-time professional work experience in an office setting. An appropriate combination of education and experience may be substituted.
  • Ability to independently travel to other locations for College business.
  • Demonstrated experience using a personal computer, office software such as MS Office, and electronic mail.
