Job Description:

FX is seeking a proactive and highly organized Coordinator to provide support for the FX Communications & Publicity team. The role will provide high-level executive administrative support to the Head of Communications & Publicity and will work closely with the Director, Communications to support corporate communications, media relations and international publicity efforts. This role will also serve as the department's central operations Coordinator.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive support to the FX Head of Communications & Publicity, including travel coordination, expense processing, and heavy scheduling.

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and logistical support to the communications team, maintaining organized and up-to-date materials, and ensuring seamless information flow.

  • Assist with press release development and distribution, conducting research to support communications strategy, including media outlet research, reporter lists, and industry trend tracking.

  • Monitor media coverage, track press, and maintain accurate, current press materials and records.

  • Serve as a professional liaison to internal stakeholders and external partners, maintaining discretion and confidentiality.

  • Contribute to ad hoc projects across Publicity and Communications as needed.

  • Support the planning and execution of publicity events such as junkets, premieres, and screenings, including on-the-ground support as needed.

  • Assist with departmental logistics, including meeting coordination, event support, supply ordering, and invoice processing.

  • Maintain flexibility to support events and publicity initiatives during evenings and weekends.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in publicity, communications, marketing, media or related field.

  • Strong interest in entry-level publicity and communications for television, streaming, and original programming.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and a willingness to learn, with the ability to follow direction and work independently with minimal direction.

  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively and engage with diverse personalities, including senior executives, media, and talent.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with presentation and collaboration tools.

  • Ability to work occasionally nights and weekends as needed to support events and publicity activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with media, technology, or entertainment communications teams.

  • Deep passion for pop-culture and entertainment.

  • Familiarity with media monitoring tools and social media platforms.

  • Strong understanding of media and digital trends.

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Additional Information

Hybrid schedule: Monday - Thursday in office; Friday remote. Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed. Based in Burbank, CA.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $52,700 to $72,300 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
