Whether you're looking to start your career or make a change, talk to us and see how you can elevate the power of your work at Iron Mountain.
We provide expert, sustainable solutions in records and information management, digital transformation services, data centers, asset lifecycle management, and fine art storage, handling, and logistics. Are you curious about being part of our growth story while evolving your skills in a culture that will welcome your unique contributions? If so, let's start the conversation.
Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated Multimedia Specialist I to join our Media and Archival Services (MAS) team. In this role, you will be responsible for media asset inbound/outbound workflows, manual and automated metadata collection, and maintaining the chain of custody and inventory integrity within the studio space.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will:
  • Manage Asset Workflows: Handle media asset inbound/outbound processes, triage/research, manual and automated metadata collection, media format identification, inventory ingest, barcoding, and asset box scanning.
  • Maintain Studio Systems: Troubleshoot, calibrate, and perform general maintenance/upkeep of existing metadata systems and equipment, while recommending and testing new or used hardware and software updates.
  • Collaborate & Track Production: Partner closely with the Studio Manager, Studio Supervisor, and broader team to provide project support, maintain work logs, track assets, and deliver archival engineer reports for all production work.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Entry-level to 2 years of experience in media asset management, archive organization, inventory tracking, or a baseline proficiency across multiple databases and inventory systems.
  • General familiarity with historic analog/digital video tape formats (e.g., U-matic, VHS, Betacam, Blu-Ray) and audio formats (e.g., DAT, Cassette, reel-to-reel), alongside an understanding of FileMaker databases, Google Suite, and both Mac and PC platforms.
  • Exceptional capabilities in effective collaboration, communication, self-management, and multitasking under tight delivery deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or Certificate from an accredited multi-media, film, broadcasting, photojournalism, graphics, or archive management technical program is highly preferred but not required.
What We Offer
  • Compensation: $19.00 per hour.
  • Shifts/Working Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
  • Location: 207 Moonachie Road, Moonachie, NJ.
  • Role Duration: Temp-to-hire opportunity, with potential for conversion to a full-time role with benefits based on performance reviews and project needs.

Reasonably expected salary range: $48,200.00 - $60,300.00
Please note that an employee's starting salary may vary based on a variety of factors. Where State, Municipal, Provincial, Territorial or other legal minimum wages exceed the federal minimum wage, employees are entitled to the higher rate.
