This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers. You will also showcase your proficiency by displaying a clear understanding of the need for immediate attention and care in your own area of responsibility.

We are seeking highly motivated and innovative Service professionals who are ready to join ABB-either now or in the future. This is a valuable opportunity to become part of our talent pool and be considered for upcoming Service roles across various regions and customer sites. contributes significantly to ABB's diverse business divisions, enhancing solutions and supporting operations across India.


You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer's operations and eliminate pain points.

  • Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products.

  • Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.

  • Identifying and resolving equipment/process failures, requesting proactive corrective actions, and making recommendations to avoid such issues in the future.


Qualifications for the role

  • Proficiency with systems such as:

    • DCS 800xA

    • AC500

    • MOD300

    • AC800M

    • Analyzers for liquid, water, and gas

    • Field instruments

    • Excitation systems

    • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)

    • Traction or wind power converters

    • LV switchgear (MCC, PCC, MCB, MCCB, PSS)

    • MV switchgear (AIS/GIS)

  • 3 to 15 years of experience in service or commissioning for any of the above products across all markets.

  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and excellence in customer relationship management.

  • A diploma or degree in engineering in electrical, electronics, or instrumentation.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Flexibility and willingness to travel across India, including outside regular working hours, making you a valuable asset to our customers.
