Position Overview

The Field Service Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for the vital work of maintaining diagnostic tools, which directly influences patient health and well-being. This position is part of the Service Organization located in LOCATION and will be fully remote. You will be a part of the Field Service Team reporting to the LEADER and responsible for ensuring optimal performance of Beckman Coulter equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Handle troubleshooting, installation, preventative maintenance, and service repair needs of Beckman Coulter equipment.
  2. Provide excellent and efficient service to Beckman Coulter's customers, along with technical training on products.
  3. Maintain accurate customer service logs and internal service records, order repair parts, and adhere to cycle times.
  4. Utilize business systems such as OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for Service Call Planning and advancing team goals.
  5. Engage with both internal and external stakeholders, understanding and meeting their requirements.
  6. Assist with the training of newer Field Service Engineers.
Essential Requirements
  1. Associate degree or equivalent military experience.
  2. 1-year experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation.
  3. Hold a current valid driver's license and good driving record.
  4. Ability to travel (providing service in an assigned geography and periodic travel to other areas/overnight).
  5. Ability to lift, lower and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  6. Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, crouch/crawl, push/pull, and sit/stand for extended periods of time.
  7. Ability to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, have good hand, and finger dexterity.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. 2+ years' experience of advanced troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications and/or service repair.
  2. Experience developing positive business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, leading to increased customer satisfaction.
  3. A technical college major such as biomed, engineering, or related.
