Job Title: FANUC Robot Programmer
Location: Farmington Hills, MI
Job Type: Contract

Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced FANUC Robot Programmer to support robotic automation and manufacturing operations in Farmington Hills, MI. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on FANUC programming experience, the ability to program robots from scratch, and experience working with GM GRS standards. Experience with FANUC iRVision (2D or 3DV) and collaborative robots (Cobots) is highly preferred.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Program and troubleshoot FANUC industrial robots for automated manufacturing applications.
  • Develop and modify robot programs from scratch using FANUC teach pendant programming.
  • Ensure robot programming and implementation follows GM GRS standards.
  • Program, configure, calibrate, and troubleshoot FANUC iRVision 2D/3DV systems.
  • Optimize robot paths, cycle times, positioning, and overall system performance.
  • Troubleshoot robot faults, I/O, communication, tooling, and sequencing issues.
  • Integrate FANUC robots with PLCs, vision systems, sensors, and automated equipment.
  • Support robot installation, commissioning, debugging, and production launch activities.
  • Work with controls, electrical, manufacturing, and automation engineering teams.
  • Perform modifications and improvements to existing robotic systems.
  • Follow all applicable machine safety and robotic safety requirements.


Required Qualifications


  • Strong hands-on FANUC Robot Programming experience.
  • Ability to program FANUC robots from scratch.
  • Experience with GM GRS standards.
  • Strong robot troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Experience in an automotive/manufacturing automation environment.
  • Ability to understand robot programs, I/O, sequences, and automation systems.


Preferred Qualifications


  • FANUC iRVision 2D or 3DV experience.
  • Previous Cobot / Collaborative Robot programming experience.
  • Experience integrating robots with PLCs and controls systems.
