Boeing Commercial Airplanes is looking for Entry Level Structures Design Engineers to work at our Ladson, SC location.

This is a great opportunity to work in the Commercial Airplanes Propulsion South Carolina Design Center, as a Structures Design Engineer.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists with documentation of structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.

  • Assists with development, maintenance and modification of payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Assists with tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

  • Assists with management of supplier development, test and production activities to optimize the design and achieve program goals. Works under close supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with aircraft structural design

  • Experience using CAD Tools

  • Experience working on propulsion related structures

  • Experience with design of composite material systems

  • Experience with manufacturing/production systems
