We are excited to announce that we have an opening in our Clarksburg, MD office for an Operations Data Analyst. The Operations Data Analyst will transform raw operational and business data into actionable insights. The role supports strategic and tactical decision-making across operations by collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing data to optimize TDSI processes and performance. This role will work cross-functionally with management, Operations, Engineering, and Finance teams to identify business needs, define KPIs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Data Collection & Management: Acquire and manage TDSI operational, financial, and technical data from internal systems, tools, and stakeholders while maintaining high quality data structures and repositories. Work closely with IT to ensure that SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and other tools (Salesforce, Windchill, etc.) provide the necessary information needed to support data analysis that leads to a common situational understanding.
  • Data Cleansing: Filter, clean, and troubleshoot all internal TDSI datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and readiness for analysis.
  • Statistical Analysis: Perform statistical and quantitative analysis on TDSI operational metrics to identify performance trends, anomalies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Data Visualization & Reporting: Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and visual insights using TDSI tools including SAC to support communication with leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Data Monitoring: Monitor key metrics and ensure performance against defined benchmarks and key performance indicators (KPIs). Recommend proactive measures to address issues before they impact performance. Conduct/lead root cause and correct action (RCCA) investigations and recommend strategic solutions.

  • U.S. Citizenship required. - Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a relevant business discipline. Data Analytics or various sub-disciplines (Data Engineering, Data Science) preferred.
  • 2-4 years+ of relevant experience in Data Analyst role (Operations/ Manufacturing environment highly preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with SQL, Excel, and analytical programming languages (Python/R), with ability to work with TDSI data platforms and operational systems.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to present data to a team that enables effective decision making.
  • Visualization Tools: Experience using BI tools such as SAC, Power BI or Tableau to support reporting within TDSI.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to translate technical insights into actionable recommendations for TDSI stakeholders.

The annualized pay range for this role is $83,400- $106,567 USD along with a target incentive compensation plan (ICP) of 5%. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the experience level for the role described above. TDSI considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
