Behavioral Health Worker (Per Diem)

1st, 2nd and 3rd Shift

If you have a passion for helping people and want to earn experience in the behavioral health field, we have the perfect position for you!

The Acute Stabilization Unit in Providence has an opening for a Per Diem Behavioral Health Worker (BHW). BHWs maintain a safe and supportive environment for people experiencing substance abuse and mental health crisis on our voluntary treatment unit in the heart of Providence.

This is a front-line position with a high degree of client interaction, from admissions to safety checks to recreational and therapeutic activities. The ideal candidate is responsible, self-motivated, interested in people, a team player, and eager to learn!

Must be willing to promote client recovery, understand the impact of trauma, prioritize client safety, and respond to crisis. Appropriate professional boundaries, ethics, and excellent communication skills are a must.

We are a 24-hour facility with all days and hours available; great schedules for students! This is an entry-level position with opportunity for growth.

Education/Licensing Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required.
