Overview

Allspring Global Investments is seeking to hire a junior Equity Research Analyst for Allspring CEF strategies. The successful candidate will work with a team of portfolio managers who manage investment portfolios of closed-end funds and ETF's. This opportunity requires an analyst with a background in mathematics, statistics, and computer science along with some understanding of finance and economics.

We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 4 days per week.

Location(s): Richmond, VA

Responsibilities
    Produce, review, and otherwise manage various required reports such as attribution and other investment analysis.
  • Assist in preparing meetings agendas, presentations, documentations, and organizing topics.
  • Demonstrate sound decision making and strategic thinking which reflects an understanding of our business and priorities.
  • Calendar management for portfolio managers, analysts, and product specialist team members.
  • Plan and coordinate travel arrangements, including preparing travel itineraries, solving logistical issues, and monthly expense reporting.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Skillful use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook (calendar and email management).
  • Ability to handle heavy workloads while remaining focused in fast paced environment.
  • Some knowledge and understanding of equity markets.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Well-organized, independent thinker, team player, entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Natural curiosity and desire to drive team level success.
  • Reliable, professional attitude and willingness to carry out responsibilities in a cooperative work setting.
  • Remain in stationary position for prolonged periods of time

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2+ years of experience in an investment management or fund management environment; prior investment industry experience.
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg.

Compensation

Base Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.)
