Job description

MediaLab 3D Solutions is seeking an entry-level Floorplan Artist to join our Interactive Floor Plans Team.
This position utilizes client-supplied CAD files and standards documents to create 2D interactive vector floor plans that are implemented in national homebuilder marketing collateral. Artists utilize various programs including AutoCAD, Adobe Animate, and Adobe Illustrator. Our team is fast-paced and deadline-driven, but offers a friendly, connected culture in a fully remote environment.
Skills and Attributes:
This position requires excellent organizational abilities, strong ability to follow precise instruction, invariable attention to detail, and efficient PC skills.
In this remote position, the Artist must remain reliable and able to work independently, while simultaneously coordinating with coworkers during typical work hours.
This position requires the flexibility to occasionally work overtime hours as needed to meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
  • Beginner proficiency in AutoCad, Adobe Animate, Adobe Illustrator
  • Consistently complete projects within allotted timeframes
  • Follow a daily full-time schedule M-F and communicate issues in a timely manner
  • Reliable to work independently while also maintaining open communication with the team during work hours
  • Follow precise written instructions as well as detailed standards documentation
  • Create interactive floor plan brochures, and ensure all web features display and function correctly
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with the Quality Assurance and Customer Success teams

Qualifications:
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Excellent written communication
  • Strong ability to prioritize and work independently while being deadline-driven in a fast paced environment
  • Previous design-related experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with architectural terminology and concepts is desirable, but not required
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator and/or Adobe Animate is preferable but not required

Work Environment:
This remote position is based in our Tampa, FL headquarters. We will require the selected candidate to maintain a functional home office environment with minimal interruptions. You may use your own equipment, or equipment may be provided. You will be connecting to a workstation utilizing company-provided software.
This position requires use of a keyboard, mouse, multiple monitors and a laptop. You will be seated at a desk, working through a computing workstation setup in your own home for regular, eight hour shifts. Overtime is occassionally required. Microsoft Teams meetings with a camera presence are required. Access to adequate WiFi and phone service in your home is required for this position.
Training:
Paid training will be provided through a combination of Microsoft Teams meetings, test projects, and independent study with our supportive and collaborative Floor Plans Team.
