Job Title:System Administrator – Intermediate (Endpoint Engineering Services) Location:San Antonio, TX Clearance: Secret Education:BS in Computer Science related field or A BBA in the same technical field or Military Experience or CISSP Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate Job Description: The Endpoint Engineering System Administrator provides enterprise-level endpoint engineering, configuration, and sustainment support for the DHA Domain and Directory Services Branch (DDSB). This role ensures secure, compliant, and efficient management of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and servers across both on-premises and MED365/Intune cloud environments. The Endpoint Engineering System Administrator ensures DHA’s enterprise devices remain secure, compliant, and operationally effective. By engineering endpoint solutions that integrate with enterprise security, identity, and cloud services, this role enables the DHA to deliver consistent, resilient IT services that support healthcare operations across the Military Health System. Key Responsibilities: * Engineer, configure, and sustain endpoint services, including device enrollment, provisioning, patching, and compliance enforcement.
* Manage and validate endpoint security controls such as encryption (BitLocker), Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE), and conditional access policies in alignment with Zero Trust principles.
* Create, deploy, and update desktop/server images, driver packages, and application packages for enterprise delivery.
* Develop and maintain endpoint monitoring, alerting, and compliance dashboards, ensuring visibility into device health and patch status.
* Provide technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles to support endpoint operations and Tier 2 troubleshooting.
* Support migration and modernization initiatives (e.g., Intune co-management, Autopilot deployment) to align endpoint services with DHA’s enterprise cloud adoption strategy.
