Parsons is seeking an entry-level engineer with aTop Secret clearanceto join our agile, tight-knit development team. In this role, you'll work directly with experts inComputer Network Defense (CND)andComputer Network Operations (CNO)to design and develop tools and systems that drive mission-critical operations into the future.

What You'll Be Doing:

As an Associate level Software Engineer/Developer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with CND and CNO experts to design and develop tools and systems that support mission objectives.
  • Designing and coding software components, units, and modules to meet product specifications and development schedules.
  • Participating in an agile development team to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Learning and applying new technologies to solve complex problems.
Required Skills:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Clearance:Active Top Secret or higher security clearance, which requires US citizenship
  • Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or a related discipline (experience may be considered in lieu of a degree) and 0-2 years of professional related experience
Desired Skills:

While not required, the following skills are highly desirable:

  • Operating Systems Knowledge:Familiarity with Windows XP/7/8/10/Server and macOS.
  • Embedded Systems:Knowledge of VxWorks, Linux, or other embedded systems.
  • Testing Experience:Experience performing unit testing and working with formal testing methodologies (e.g., test plan and procedure generation).
  • Programming Languages:Proficiency in C, C++, Java, and web programming.
  • Software Design:Knowledge of software design patterns and object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD).
  • Learning Ability:Strong ability to grasp new technologies and acquire new skills through independent study, professional training, and collaboration with team members.
