Description:
Opening is for an Electronic Fiber Optic Technician. Candidate should be able to troubleshoot electronic and mechanical systems. Also be able to use VOM, Oscilloscopes, and other basic electronic diagnostic equipment. Candidate should be able to use a computer and be familiar with most popular operating softwareโ€™s and ability to work with excel and word applications. Also must have strong troubleshooting skills as well as experience in IT networking, ability to read and follow one-line, and electronic schematics. Formal electronic or military electronic training is preferred. Job involves outdoor work and sometimes working at heights up to 75' in aerial buckets. Candidate will be working on CCTV, Electronic Dynamin Message Signs, Fiber Optics, 10G and 1G switches, Video encoders, Bluetooth readers, Side firing radars and other electronic devices. Work activity is along roads and major corridors in and around the Houston area. Company will provide training for qualified individual. Pay will match experience and formal training. Our technicians and electricians are train in all standard areas and specialize with fiber optic systems, ATM, Changeable Message Signs (CMS), Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) ramp meters, CCTV, Video Image Vehicle Detection Systems (VIVDS), inductive loop vehicle detection, vehicle radar detections, traffic signal maintenance, roadway lighting, large roadway signs and various other specialty items.
