Entry Level Electrical Apprentice and/or General Laborer. Seeking full-time, professional, motivated individual looking for long term career growth in the electrical field. Main duties include installing interior and exterior light fixtures and systems, under the guidance of an experienced electrician. No previous experience required. Main office located in Ashland, VA. Only required to report to the job site.
Essential Duties:
Assists with general electric work including installation, repair, and maintenance.
Assists with installs of new wiring, motors, generators, electrical fixtures, pumps, valves, dials, gauges and other apparatus, and maintains and repairs lines.
Be able to perform: routine and repetitive tasks, work easily and skillfully with hands, climb and maintain balance on scaffolds or ladders. See well (naturally or with correction) and distinguish colors; Reach for, handle, and grasp wires and hand tools.
Bend, crouch, and work in small places; and lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted, bending, standing crouching, climbing and walking.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Reliable transportation
Ability to work with a Journeyman
Fluent in speaking and writing in English
Prefer Apprentices with 1+ years of experience, but will help with licensing for new apprentices.
