Electrical Design Technician
Electrical Design • Manufacturing & Industrial Facilities
We're looking for an Electrical Design Technician to join a multi-disciplinary team working on state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, data centers, and industrial sites including pulp and paper mills and steel mills. You'll produce electrical installation plans and 3D models using cutting-edge design software, with mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals along the way. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is curious, organized, and eager to grow.
Pay: $28.78- $40.00 per hour DOE
What you'll do
  • Produce electrical installation plans and 3D models of equipment, lighting, conduit, cable tray, and electrical raceways
  • Develop layouts of major electrical distribution equipment
  • Determine the location of electrical panels and equipment
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team across multiple office locations
  • Work on projects spanning manufacturing, data center, and industrial facility types

What you need
  • Associate's degree in Computer Drafting and Design, Architectural Drafting, or a similar program - or 2 years of on-the-job experience
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams

Nice to have
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, petrochemical, or industrial facilities
  • Working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, and/or Revizto
  • Forward-thinking mindset with a passion for buildings and construction
  • Quick learner, driven to broaden technical knowledge
