Job description

Position Title:ย KVCC Electrical Technology Full-Time Faculty

Salary Range: Salary and benefitsย commensurateย with the Agreement between the Maine Community College System Trustees and the MEA Faculty Unit. Level III ($52,610.57 - $84,424.49)

Responsibilities: The Electrical Technology faculty responsibilities include but are not limited: teaching and supervision of students in the Electrical Technology program, student advising, and participation in the programโ€™s on-going curriculum development. Subject areas to be taught typically include but are not limited to: direct current and alternating current theory, solid state devices, programmable logic controllers electrical motor control, renewable energy systems, and basic process control instrumentation. Participation in campus initiatives such as student success and retention, accreditation, institutional assessment are expected. Schedule may include day, evening, and online classes.

Minimum Qualifications: The qualified applicant is required to have an Associateโ€™s degree in a related field and a current State of Maine Master Electrician license. Additional qualifications include an extensive background in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of residential, commercial and industrial electrical equipment and systems. Prior experience and education in industrial electronics, PLCโ€™s, VFDโ€™s, and process control instrumentation is desired. Prior teaching experience is a plus. Demonstrated professionalism and interpersonal skills in collaborating with colleagues and directing students are essential.
