As a Commercial electrical motor control electrician , you will play a crucial role in installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of doors and related hardware, ensuring they function efficiently and safely. Your attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, strong mechanical aptitude, and commitment to quality workmanship will be essential in meeting our customers' needs.


Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial electrical motor control electrician to join our team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems related to doors and gates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, with a focus on security systems and automation. This position requires a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.


Duties

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components of door and gate systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure proper functioning of all electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and contractors to complete projects efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the job site.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in electrical technology related to doors and gates.

Skills

  • Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory, wiring methods, and safety standards.
  • Experience with access control systems, intercoms, and automated gate operators is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years’ experience in the commercial door service industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of various door types, brands, and hardware is a plus.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in performing mathematical calculations involving fractions and reading a tape measure accurately for precise measurements and installations.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical ability to continuously lift and bend, climb ladders up to 20’ in height, work on knees for extended periods of time and proficient operating power tools.
