Responsibilities:

  • Inspect equipment and parts for damage, diagnose possible reasons for issues.
  • Wind, assemble, and install various types of coils in AC/DC rotating machines using industry best practices.
  • Operate specialized repair and testing equipment used in electrical rotating apparatus repair industry.
  • Braze using oxy-acetylene, induction, and/or resistance welding techniques.
  • Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective equipment.
  • Complete required job documentation.
  • Provide feedback to assist in accurate costing and work scope development for rewind projects.
  • Utilize manufacturer's recommendations and industry best.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance as required on equipment in your work area.
  • Clean and organize the shop, as required to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
  • Perform other skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by supervision.
  • We are willing to train if someone has an interest in electricity and power!

Requirements:

Able to perform all essential functions of the job.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Understanding of electrical theory and strong mechanical aptitude/skills.
  • Able to wear necessary protective equipment.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Previous motor winding experience.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekdays, and weekends to meet customer service requirements.
  • Experience with rigging and lifting heavy loads, and operating overhead cranes.
  • Forklift experience.

Preferred:

  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring devices, such as micrometers and calipers, etc.

Physical demands:

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Daily use of PPE includes safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toed safety shoes.
