Account Manager - EHS and Fire Protection

Salaried position: $66,560

Position Overview

The Account Manager is responsible for supervising Per Mar EHS and Fire Protection Officers at a multinational manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with company and client policies, and maintaining high standards of performance and professionalism. This role requires managing two distinct groups, each reporting to separate client contacts, and balancing multiple operational priorities. Additionally, this account is in the early stages of being established from the ground up, providing a rare opportunity for an individual to shape its direction and build something meaningful from the start.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise, schedule, and train Lead Officers and Security Officers at assigned accounts.
  • Prepare and communicate post orders for assigned sites.
  • Act as liaison between assigned clients and the branch office.
  • Address and resolve client issues and complaints promptly.
  • Oversee payroll accuracy, discipline, evaluations, and training for direct reports.
  • Maintain and distribute required reports and records.
  • Conduct regular security post checks and enforce measures to control overtime and training costs.
  • Maintain company vehicles and track mileage as required by clients.
  • Adhere to and enforce all company and client policies and procedures.
  • Uphold ethical business conduct and compliance at all times.
  • Inform customers of products and services when appropriate.
  • Assume additional duties or special projects as assigned by management.

Additional Management Duties

  • Hire, train, and mentor direct reports, ensuring compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action policies.
  • Address performance and behavior issues fairly and consistently.
  • Engage with professional and civic organizations to enhance company image and profitability.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 2–4 years of supervisory experience required; security field experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, internet).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service focus and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work with people at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Must be detail-oriented, capable of handling challenging situations, and able to physically perform Security Officer duties as needed.
  • Must be able to manage two separate groups that report to different client contacts.
  • Must be able to pass an OSHA 30 course.
  • Must be able to learn each aspect of the job duties and be able to fill in as necessary in those positions, when required.

  • Ability to walk long distances and remain on your feet for extended periods of time while performing supervisory duties.
  • Exposure to various work environments, including office, client sites, and outdoor conditions.
