Position Specific Summary
GW SMART DC enables George Washington University tutors to build the literacy and math skills of K-8 students in the District of Columbia through one-on-one or small group tutoring, while also fostering meaningful relationships. Through SMARTDC, students work with a community partner to address the learning needs of DC students. Students serve at least a full academic year and gain perspective through cultivating leadership skills and building a diverse network at GW and beyond. 
Standard Position Description
The student will provide tutoring services for early childhood literacy and middle school math. Tasks may include: build literacy and math skills with early childhood in small groups or one-on-one, or virtually. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental needs.
