Revit Mechanical Designer / Technician
Location: Grand Rapids, MI (preferred) โ€ข Maumee, OH โ€ข Farmington Hills, MI, Cincinnati, OH
Job Summary
Fishbeck is seeking a Revit Mechanical Designer/Technician to join our Mechanical team. This role is open to both entry-level and experienced candidates and offers the opportunity to work on a variety of project types under the guidance of a lead engineer or project manager.
The ideal candidate will support the development of HVAC and plumbing system drawings while contributing to the overall mechanical design process. This position is well-suited for individuals who enjoy working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and are eager to develop their technical skills.
Primary Functions
  • Collaborate with lead mechanical engineers to prepare 2D and 3D mechanical layouts and design drawings that meet client, Fishbeck, and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain Revit models and construction documents for HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Manage drawing setup, graphics, and document organization for project deliverables.
  • Coordinate printing, plotting, and distribution of project documents.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across multiple Fishbeck offices and external consultants to support project delivery.
Minimum Physical Requirements
Mobility to work in an office setting, including sitting for extended periods and using standard office equipment. Occasional lifting and carrying may be required. Ability to travel to project sites and attend meetings as needed. Visual acuity to perform design and documentation responsibilities. Accommodations may be made for otherwise qualified individuals.
Desired Education
Associate's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
