C-Motive is a startup with facilities in Middleton, WI commercializing electric motors with sustainability and efficiency as top priorities. This technology was born out of UW-Madison and will be the first of its kind on the market.ย 
Half of all electricity globally is consumed by electric motors. ย C-Motiveโ€™s patented electrostatic motor technology delivers 95%+ efficiency, uses no rare-earth metals, less than 1% the copper, and has the potential to deliver over a gigaton of carbon savings in the next decade. Theย global motor marketplace is $100B annually and C-Motive is poised to become a significant player in the coming few years. No one else in the world is developing electrostatic machines and our goal is to become the reference motor technology for a new generation of products.
The Opportunity:
The C-Motive motor is a highly engineered product, and demand is currently at an all-time high for both internal testing and customer demonstrations. C-Motive is seeking a hands-on Assembly Technician to support the build and production of next-generation electrostatic motors.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, learning new skills, solving mechanical challenges, and being part of a growing production team.
As a member of the Production team, youโ€™ll work alongside engineering, testing, and quality teams to assemble components, support production activities, and help scale one of the most innovative motor technologies in the world.
This is an entry-level role with strong growth opportunity as C-Motive continues to expand production operations.

You do not need prior motor experience to succeed in this role. We are looking for people with strong attitudes, hands-on aptitude, and willingness to learn.
What You Will Do:
โ€ขย ย  ย Assemble mechanical and electrical subcomponentsย 
โ€ขย ย  ย Clean, inspect, and prepare parts for assemblyย 
โ€ขย ย  ย Use hand tools and measurement equipmentย 
โ€ขย ย  ย Support testing and production activitiesย 
โ€ขย ย  ย Maintain organized workstations and documentationย 
โ€ขย ย  ย Work closely with engineering and production teamsย 
โ€ขย ย  ย Assist with general production tasks as needed
Qualifications:
โ€ขย ย  ย Experience in assembly, manufacturing, mechanical work, automotive work, lab environments, or hands-on technical roles preferred but not required.

โ€ขย ย  ย Comfortable learning new processes and procedures
โ€ขย ย  ย Ability to work independently and as part of a team
