To thrive as an Entry Level Developer, you need a solid understanding of programming languages (such as Java, Python, or JavaScript), problem-solving abilities, and a relevant degree or coding bootcamp certification. Familiarity with version control systems like Git, basic knowledge of databases, and exposure to development environments or frameworks are typically required. Strong communication, teamwork, and a willingness to learn new technologies help set candidates apart. These skills and qualities are essential for contributing effectively to projects, adapting to evolving technical requirements, and collaborating within development teams.

What are some common challenges faced by entry level developers during their first year on the job?

Entry level developers often encounter challenges such as adapting to new codebases, learning company-specific development workflows, and collaborating effectively with more experienced team members. Most organizations offer mentorship, code reviews, and regular feedback to help new developers overcome these challenges and grow their skills quickly.

What Does an Entry-Level Developer Do?

As an entry-level developer, your duties are to work as part of a team to develop a piece of software or an application for a computer or web browser. Your responsibilities vary depending on your specific assignment. As an entry-level developer, you may assist in multiple aspects of the project while you determine a more specific career path. Will AI replace coders by 2040?

Entry level developers will continue to play a vital role in software development, as AI tools are designed to assist rather than fully replace human programmers. While AI can automate routine coding tasks, skills such as problem-solving, creativity, and understanding user needs remain essential for developers. Staying updated with programming languages and tools will help new developers adapt to evolving technology.

How do I get a developer job with no experience?

Entry-level developer positions often require demonstrating foundational programming skills through personal projects, coding bootcamps, or online courses. Building a portfolio, learning relevant tools like Git, and gaining certifications can improve your chances despite limited work experience.

Can I make 200k a year as a software engineer?

Entry level developers typically do not earn $200,000 annually; such salaries are usually associated with senior roles, specialized skills, or work in high-cost living areas. Associate Deploy Consultant

ABOUT ATONOM

Atonom.ai builds Cloud Employees: intelligent AI agents that execute complex work across Sales, Marketing, Support, and HR. We believe growth should be limited by ambition, not headcount. We move beyond simple automation to genuine autonomy, empowering businesses to scale instantly. Join us as we build the infrastructure for the next generation of work.

THE ROLE

As a Associate Deploy Consultant, you'll work alongside senior team members to configure, deploy, and optimize AI Cloud Employees for our customers. This is a hands-on role where you'll learn quickly, work directly with clients, and see the impact of your work from day one. You don't need years of experience. You need curiosity, technical aptitude, and the drive to figure things out.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Help deploy AI Cloud Employees for customers, supporting the process from kickoff through go-live alongside senior team members.
  • Join client calls to scope requirements, align stakeholders, and translate business needs into AI workflows, including prompt design, automations, and QA checks.
  • Troubleshoot deployment issues with support from the team. Identify blockers, work through fixes, and help keep projects on track.
  • Document deployment processes, build reusable templates, and contribute to consulting playbooks.
  • Share product feedback with Engineering and Product teams, including deployment friction, feature gaps, and customer requests.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Recent graduate (or soon to be) in Business, Information Systems, Management Consulting, Communications, or a related field. Equivalent experience is also welcome.
  • Client-oriented and a quick learner. You enjoy solving problems for people and feel comfortable picking up new tools on the fly.
  • Interested in LLMs and prompt engineering. You've spent some time with AI tools and have a sense of what they can do in a real work context.
  • A strong communicator who can guide clients through technical processes with patience and clarity, even when things get complex.
  • Self-directed and low-ego. You ask good questions, take feedback well, and move fast in ambiguous situations.

YOUR FIRST 90 DAYS

  • Month 1: Learn the Atonom platform inside and out. Shadow senior team members on client calls and implementations. Get certified on internal tooling.
  • Month 2: Take ownership of your first customer implementations with senior support. Begin contributing to internal documentation and playbooks.
  • Month 3: Run implementations with increasing independence. Present learnings and customer pain points to the Product team.

TECHNICAL SKILLS (NICE TO HAVE)

  • Exposure to workflow automation tools (Zapier, Make, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of APIs, webhooks, or data integrations.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with CRMs like Salesforce or HubSpot.
  • Any hands-on project involving LLMs or prompt engineering (personal, academic, or professional).

WHY JOIN

  • Real AI work. Not research papers. Production agents that generate measurable ROI for real businesses.
  • Mentorship built in. Learn from experienced specialists who invest in your growth.
  • Career velocity. High-visibility role with clear paths toward Solutions Architecture, Product, or Team Leadership.
  • Impact from day one. Small team, fast shipping, your contributions matter immediately.

BENEFITS

  • PTO accrual starts on day one.
  • Competitive health benefits package.
  • Paid holidays and company events.
  • Competitive salary
