Northrop Grumman is seeking Engineers to support in the following functions:
  • Process Engineering
  • Quality Engineering
  • Design Engineering
  • Manufacturing Engineering

Positions will be located at our Space Systems sector in Promontory, Clearfield, Salt Lake City, or Magna, UT.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Manufacturing & Operations / Mission Assurance/ Design & Analysis team.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Developing and improving designs and/or manufacturing processes
  • Performing cause and corrective action activities to permanently eliminate defects
  • Working with concurrent engineering team to create Build-to-Packages (i.e. engineering and planning documents)
  • Authoring, updating and reviewing shop floor planning
  • Preparing and presenting technical presentations to manufacturing team leadership, and to the customers for review and approval of process and manufacturing concepts and changes
  • Performing table top reviews
  • Using Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools to ensure process control and identify opportunities to reduce process variance
  • Developing and incorporating process improvements
  • Troubleshooting production/tooling/facility issues and implementing improvements and solutions
  • Supporting design, checkout, qualification and implementation of new or modified tooling, equipment, facilities and processes
  • Troubleshooting production/tooling/facility issues and implementing improvements and solutions
  • Provide input and manufacturing expertise to the end product design process to ensure efficient and effective manufacturability
  • Work closely with touch labor to ensure manufacturing process results in safe and reliable space and defense products

Basic Qualifications:

  • Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Be majoring in or having majored in Chemical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering (other technical degrees may be considered)
  • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
  • The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques
  • Process Controls (SPC)
  • Interpreting blue prints and specifications

Basic Qualifications for an Engineer:
  • Be completing or has completed their Master's degree from an accredited institution

Salary Range:
  • Associate Engineer: $65,800 to $98,800
  • Engineer: $79,300 to $118,900

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,800.00 - $98,900.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
