Job description

Position Overview
This is a paid internship opportunity for a college student currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field. The IT Intern will provide technical support for company-issued hardware, software, and network systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, installing equipment, assisting with server and application management, and supporting system transitions. This role offers hands-on experience in an IT environment and the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals.
Responsibilities
• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software incidents
• Respond to technical assistance requests in person, by phone, and electronically
• Install software and hardware as needed
• Clean, modify, and repair computer hardware including monitors, keyboards, mice, and printers
• Manage servers, including user access and account management
• Set up new user hardware and physical workspaces
• Track and route incidents and document resolutions
• Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
• Collaborate with others to complete tasks
• Redirect problems to the appropriate resource
• Learn to serve as a liaison between IT professionals and end users
Qualifications
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Android/iOS, desktop PCs, laptops, and Cisco network/VoIP equipment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Self-driven with the ability to perform entry-level troubleshooting tasks
• Microsoft or other industry certifications are a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Well-organized with good time management skills
• Strong customer service orientation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of remote systems and servers
• Familiarity with Office 365 and Windows 11 troubleshooting
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
