Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer – Machine Design (Holland, MI).
$70,000 – $80,000 | Full-Time | Direct Hire.

Are you a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate looking to launch your career in machine and automation design? We’re partnering with a growth-oriented company in the Rockford, MI area seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join their team of experienced professionals.
This is a permanent, full-time position where you'll receive hands-on mentorship from senior engineers and gain valuable experience designing custom automation equipment and special machines

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and detail custom machines, fixtures, and automation systems using engineering principles and CAD tools.
  • Select and size mechanical components such as gears, pumps, bearings, hydraulics, and piping systems.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced mechanical designers to bring concepts to life.
  • Create and review engineering drawings, bill of materials (BOMs), and bid specifications.
  • Support continuous improvement and innovation in machine design.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks is preferred; experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, Pro/E, or other 3D CAD platforms will also be considered.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.

Preferred Experience:
  • Internship or co-op experience involving machine design, automation, or material handling equipment.
  • Exposure to robotics, servo systems, vision systems, or PLC-based controls.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary: $65,000 – $80,000 depending on experience.
