Job description

General Purpose of Job:  

The Entry-Level Operations Specialist provides foundational IT endpoint support, focusing on ticket triage, hardware refresh initiatives, and troubleshooting documentation. Emphasis on learning department processes and delivering excellent customer support, including assisting with technology setups for collaborative environments.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience (If something is not required but is preferred, enter preferred at the end of sentence).

Education:

  • High school diploma and a minimum of 3 years of IT Support experience OR Associates degree computer science, IT or related field and a minimum of 1 year of IT Support experience OR Bachelors degree in computer science, IT or related field   

License / Certification / Registration:

  • None

Experience:

  • Basic familiarity in IT support or service coordination, and troubleshooting knowledge

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn

Essential Duties:

This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis.  Team members may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader.  Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.

  • Provide on-site and remote support for hardware, software, telephony, and meeting room technologies.
  • Assist with endpoint deployment, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Monitor and manage IT ticket queues, ensuring prompt responses.
  • Support asset management processes, including inventory tracking and service provider coordination.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance customer support and technical operations.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the completion of tasks to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Serve as an escalation point for hourly staff on technical issues and support needs.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and support off-hours as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
