POSITION SUMMARY:

The Remediation Technician is an entry-level role designed for individuals looking to build a career in the restoration industry. This position works alongside experienced technicians and leaders to learn the fundamentals of mold remediation, demolition, and job site operations.

The technician supports day-to-day activities on job sites while developing the skills necessary to perform restoration work safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Job Site Tasks

  • Perform assigned restoration tasks as directed by technicians or supervisors
  • Assist with job site setup, cleanup, and maintaining an organized work area

SOP & Safety Compliance

  • Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times

Demolition Assistance

  • Perform basic demolition tasks under supervision using hand and power tools
  • Remove debris and prepare affected areas for restoration work

Equipment Handling

  • Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down drying equipment as instructed

Warehouse & Vehicle Maintenance

  • Clean and organize company vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Ensure all materials are properly stored and ready for use

Customer Presence

  • Maintain a professional appearance and respectful behavior on job sites
  • Follow direction when interacting with customers

Attendance & Work Habits

  • Arrive on time and ready to work each day
  • Follow instructions, complete assigned tasks, and demonstrate a willingness to learn

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow within the restoration industry
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
  • Basic knowledge or interest in construction, plumbing, or restoration preferred
  • Valid driverโ€™s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Strong customer service skills with a desire to help people in difficult situations
  • IICRC certification is a plus (not required)
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
  • Strong work ethic with a desire to learn, improve, and grow within the company
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move 50 pounds or more regularly
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in environments with water, moisture, dust, and debris
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and varying temperatures
  • Capable of operating tools, equipment, and machinery safely
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
