Verification SW Engineer
INTRODUCTION
The System Validation Group ( SVG ) at Analog Devices is looking for a Software Engineer to develop test suites to validate a growing family of very sophisticated Wireless Battery Management System products ( WBMS ), proprietary and standard networking products within the Automotive Electrification Business Unit.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The candidate will have a good track record of validating and verifying application software, connectivity protocol stacks, or system software in real-time, embedded devices. The candidate will work with complex and diverse test platforms ( C / C++ / .NET / Python ) where fully automated test suites are written to exercise every aspect of our products. The position requires that a candidate not only is fluent in writing applications within the environment but must also learn every detail of the numerous products being validated. In this position, the candidate will have an opportunity to work with the design team to provide test coverage of the WBMS family of chips and networking platform products.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
  • B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Science Engineering
Required Experience
  • Good understanding of software development life-cycle
Personal Profile
  • Self-motivated, organized, resourceful, and creative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient at problem solving and data analysis
  • Good ability to drive many projects in parallel
Responsibilities
  • Effectively interact and communicate with development managers to understand test needs.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of software test programs and tools
  • Create test environments (both real and simulated) for use in the validation and development processes
  • Enhance the test coverage over time with tight cooperation with the Design and Applications Engineering teams
  • Maintain and update test suites as new functionality is added
  • Create test plans and test specifications
  • Refine and build up the test software architecture
  • Evaluate new methods to improve overall quality and testing efficiency
  • Able to identify / debug / track issues.
  • Publish bug metrics and status updates.
