Job description

JOB TITLE: Aerospace Systems Technician (Entry Level) - DEFENSE
LOCATION: Heath, OH
PAY RATE: $29/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

  • Are you a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance?

  • Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?

  • Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?

Summary: 

  • Assist with disassembly of system components to support failure correction and implementation of design changes

  • Support basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair components

  • Perform validation and verification testing of systems and components

  • Fabricate and modify aerospace products in accordance with engineering specifications

  • Assist with tasks related to the safe handling of aerospace vehicles (e.g., jacking, towing, and system operations)

  • Follow standard work instructions and safety procedures while working under supervision

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance after hire

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Ability to work off-shift schedules (2nd/3rd shift)

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience using tools and following work instructions

  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Willingness to work with beryllium and/or other hazardous materials as required

  • Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience inspecting parts, components, assemblies, or units

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in soldering and assembling equipment components

  • Experience using handheld and/or power tools

  • Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and specifications

  • Experience working under a microscope
