Job Title: Junior Estimator โ€“ Commercial Drywall

Location: Baltimore, MD

Position Summary
An established commercial construction firm is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Estimator to support the preconstruction team in preparing accurate cost estimates for drywall and related scopes. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in construction estimating, with opportunities for growth and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing quantity takeoffs for drywall, metal studs, insulation, ceilings, and related systems
  • Review architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and bid documents
  • Solicit and track vendor and subcontractor pricing
  • Help compile and organize bid proposals and supporting documentation
  • Maintain and update cost databases and estimating software
  • Communicate with project managers, estimators, and field teams for scope clarification
  • Participate in project handoff meetings after award
  • Ensure deadlines are met for bid submissions

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Basic understanding of construction drawings and terminology
