Job description

Position: Data Steward/MDM Analyst
Location: Remote
Duration: Long term
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a business field or equivalent work experience required
  • Demonstrated ability working with/manipulating legacy system and enterprise level data
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with Division, Supplier and 3rd Party contacts
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data to set rules, validate data, determine relationships, attributes, etc.
  • Exhibits proficiency with data governance/management concepts
  • Solid understanding of and experience working in an MDM and/or PIM system required
  • Fully proficient in Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to complete established goals with limited guidance
  • Exhibits attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to include use of proper grammar and punctuation
  • Understands basic data modeling, taxonomy and hierarchy structures

Responsibilities:
  • Communicates internally and with third parties to provide status updates, to resolve conflicts and to provide feedback & recommend business process changes
  • Understand internal and external stakeholder data needs and expectations for information
  • Ensure the data in systems supports the needs of stakeholders
  • Maintain and develop quality control processes for managing data
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other data stewards to ensure the enterprise data is accurate, complete, and reliable.
  • Establish rules to semi-automate or automate match/merge capabilities across disparate records
  • Manage data lineage and survivorship within a domain
  • Serves as lead and/or expert in effort to search, validate, and standardize data to support stakeholder needs and business objectives
  • Applies critical thinking in reviewing provided data in various formats for accuracy
  • Recommend business processes and process changes to ensure population of valid and standardized data points
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to increase team efficiencies
  • Identify data issues that require recurring/ad-hoc audits & implement business process to address
  • Perform recurring and ad hoc audits to ensure enrichment of key data gaps and to support online presentation
  • Perform complex audits to identify discrepant/invalid data
  • Assist in training and development of entry-level associates
  • Assist in developing reporting methods to measure team progress/metrics
  • Complies with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management
  • Coordinate and validate out-sourced work as part of EDM
  • Meet throughput, quality and customer satisfaction standards
  • Effectively work in a team environment with ability to work independently and remotely.
