Job description

Kearney is currently seeking a Data Analyst to join our team. Specifically seeking future or entry level candidates majoring Computer Science, Statistics, Cyber Security or Information Technology (or other synonym for IT related major). This position is a great entry-level opportunity for new graduates who want hands-on dynamic technology related experience working with federal government agencies throughout the United States.
Responsible for performing procedures such as data analytics, robotics, and machine learning.
Ability to take and apply training in data analytics and robotics and machine learning.
Ability to learn new programming languages quickly.
Demonstrate awareness and knowledge of Federal Government's financial and management responsibilities.
Assist in drafting and preparing project deliverables.
Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Ability to balance multiple projects concurrently.
Utilize technology to share knowledge with team members, develop skills, and continually learn.
Demonstrate professionalism and competence in the client's environment.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
Demonstrate strong digital dexterity: Meaning, executing work with independence and the capability of being agile, adept, and effective while embracing any existing or emerging technology for yielding a better business solution or outcome.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Statistics, or Information Technology, Cyber Security or related (or other synonym for IT related major)
  • 2 yrs of experience in Python, R, SQL or other programming languages.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to travel at least 25%, barring any travel restrictions.
  • Must have an active Interim Secret Clearance (or higher, such as Secret, Top Secret or TS/SCI) to be considered for this role (requires U.S. citizenship)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience supporting Department of Navy (DON) or other Defense organizations
  • Experience working with DoW's War Data Platform (previously Advana)
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control tools

The expected salary range for this position is between $62,000 and $85,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
