Strong focus, reliability, and the ability to follow detailed instructions set outstanding candidates apart. These skills ensure labeled data is accurate and consistent, which is critical for training effective machine learning models.

What is an entry level data labeling job?

An entry level data labeling job involves reviewing and tagging data—such as images, videos, text, or audio—with specific labels or categories to help train machine learning models. Data labelers follow guidelines to accurately annotate data, making it understandable for computers. This role typically requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to follow instructions. It is often a starting point for those interested in artificial intelligence or data science fields, and may be remote or on-site depending on the company.

  • Identify gaps or inconsistencies in operational information and support resolution
  • Maintain and update product-related data in internal tools and systems
  • Follow up with internal teams and external contractors to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
  • Support the organization and documentation of internal processes

  • As processes become more structured, there is opportunity to grow into broader operational responsibilities

Requirements

  • No strict degree or certification requirements
  • Entry-level to early-career candidates are welcome
