Job description

Warehouse Associate
**Up to 32 hrs per week**

*Weekdays - No Nights! No Weekends!

We have an opening at our warehouse located in Lewis Center (north of Columbus) for an entry level Warehouse Associate. Digital Storage is a small wholesale distribution center specializing in removable storage media such flash drives, SD cards, SSD, tape, consumer goods, and custom services such as repackaging and barcoding.

The warehouse associate will assist in all areas of the warehouse including picking, packing, packaging, preparation, staging, shipping, receiving, inventory control, labeling, repackaging, warehouse upkeep, special projects, and other duties as assigned. This position will interact with associates inside and outside the warehouse department.

Duties/Functions:

· Application of labels to individual tape cartridges, including verification of pick ticket with labels for accuracy, quality control steps, and organization of tapes and order in total.

· Follow standard operating processes and procedures to ensure the highest level of safety, maximize operational efficiency, and minimize errors.

· Report any inaccuracies or errors to supervision immediately.

· Carry out customer’s specifications as indicated on specific orders, by checking notes on pick ticket.

· Understand and work to ensure that productivity targets are met.

· Collaborate with peers and other departments to verify information, coordinate special requests, and resolve discrepancies via phone, email, and in-person.

· Assist in maintenance of a safe, secure, and clean working environment.

· Operate equipment and machinery as trained and required to perform daily tasks.

· Retrieve stocked assembly kit items from warehouse BIN locations in accordance with work orders, when needed.

· Update work orders with daily production totals.

· Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.

Main requirements:
*High school diploma or equivalent.

*Self-starter, willingness to jump in and help wherever needed

*Read and write English proficiently
*Computer proficiency- email, typing (we will train on our system)
*Excellent interpersonal communication skills
*Ability and willingness to operate Forklift (after provided training and practice)
*Detail oriented
*Decision-making and problem-solving ability
*Works well alone or within a team
*Be able to understand and apply digital combinations of numbers
*Be able to tolerate frequent climate changes.
*Must be at least 18 years of age, or older.

Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements for this position can be compared those of a retail or fast-food position and requires mobility throughout the shift. It is not as demanding as a large or automated distribution center or manufacturing facility. The physical demands of the job include specifically, but are not limited to the following:
*Stand, walk, and talk or hear
*Use fingers, hands, and arms to handle product, lift and carry, push and pull carts
*Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
*Regularly bend, lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
*See at close range, at a distance, in color, peripherally, gauge depth perception, and focus on objects

Schedule is Monday - Friday, up to 32 hours per week. Pay range: $15.50/hour.
