About the Role:
The Associate, Global Communications plays a foundational role on Tapestry's external communications team, helping bring our corporate narrative to life through compelling content, sharp storytelling, and thoughtful measurement. This role contributes to written and multimedia content across owned and social channels, supports cross-functional storytelling efforts, and helps track how our narrative is landing in the marketplace. The successful candidate is a curious, action-oriented self-starter who is energized by great storytelling, eager to learn the craft of media relations from a seasoned team, and equally comfortable translating data into insight.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Storytelling & Content Creation: Partner with global business units to ensure storytelling is clear, credible, and consistently aligned to Tapestry's broader reputation narrative. Help develop and maintain proof points, briefing books, case studies, and create written and multimedia content that bring our values, impact, and priorities to life across external channels.

  • Measurement & Reporting: Support the development and day-to-day execution of Tapestry's external communications measurement framework. Produce regular, digestible reports and dashboards that give leadership clear visibility into what's working and where to course-correct.

  • Insights & Analysis: Monitor daily coverage of Tapestry, its brands, and the broader competitive set. Surface trends, white-space opportunities, and reputational signals that inform planning and prioritization. Translate raw data into actionable recommendations the team can act on.

  • Operational Rigor:Help bring discipline and consistency to the team's day-to-day work by maintaining editorial calendars, story pipelines, and post-moment learnings. Support the team in moving cohesively by ensuring stories, content, and key moments are well-planned, tracked, and followed through.

  • Agency & Measurement Partner Coordination: Serve as a key day-to-day point of contact with measurement and agency partners on data inputs, dashboards, and reporting cadence. Ensure consistency and quality of measurement inputs across partners.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across Executive Communications, Employee Communications, Narrative & Storytelling, Brand, and Investor Relations to surface organic storytelling opportunities and ensure consistency of messaging across paid, owned, earned, and internal channels.

Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing, or related field required.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tell compelling stories and pull-out clear headlines from complex information.

  • Comfort with data including building reports, working in Excel, and synthesizing media monitoring or analytics outputs into clear takeaways.

  • AI-literate and tech-curious: comfortable experimenting with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini) to accelerate research, drafting, and analysis, and eager to explore how emerging technologies can elevate the craft of communications.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail, project management instincts, and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate confidently across functions and levels.

  • Sound judgment and discretion when working with sensitive or confidential information.

  • A proactive, multi-tasking self-starter who is eager to learn the craft of external communications.
