What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Entry Level Data Automation professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Entry Level Data Automation professional, you need a solid understanding of data analysis, basic programming (such as Python or SQL), and a relevant degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Familiarity with automation tools like UiPath, Alteryx, or Microsoft Power Automate, as well as experience with databases and spreadsheets, is typically required. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication are crucial soft skills in this role. These skills and qualities ensure accurate automation of processes, efficient data handling, and successful collaboration with technical and non-technical teams.

What are entry level data automation jobs?

Entry level data automation jobs typically involve assisting with the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated systems that handle data collection, processing, and reporting. These roles often require basic programming skills, familiarity with databases, and an understanding of data workflows. Common tasks may include writing scripts to automate repetitive tasks, monitoring data pipelines, and troubleshooting automation issues. Entry level positions are a great way to gain experience in data engineering and automation technologies, and often serve as a stepping stone to more advanced technical roles.

What is the difference between Entry Level Data Automation vs Data Analyst?

Job description

AI Automation Associate

We're launching a company-wide AI transformation initiative-and we're looking for AI Automation Associates to help transform how work gets done across our organization.

This is an entry-level role designed for a recent Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development, Data Science, or related graduate who has spent the last several years learning how to leverage AI tools, automation platforms, and emerging technologies to solve real-world problems.

In this role, you'll be paired with experienced subject matter experts in a specific area of our business to identify repetitive work, build AI-powered solutions, and help teams spend less time on manual tasks and more time creating value.

Unlike many traditional entry-level technology roles, you'll work directly within a business function to deliver meaningful AI-driven improvements while remaining part of the Technology organization for mentorship, continued training, and career development. This structure allows you to build both business and technical expertise while making a measurable impact.

What matters most is your ability to think creatively, learn quickly, and use AI to automate tasks, improve workflows, and unlock productivity.

If you're excited about being at the forefront of AI adoption in a fast-growing company, keep reading!

This position is hybrid or in office based in Boulder, Colorado. Candidates must be located within commuting distance of our office or be recent graduates from Colorado-based institutions.
