Job description

Customer Demand Analyst

Printpack is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Customer Demand Analyst located in Greensburg, IN. The Customer Demand Analyst serves as the operational liaison between assigned customers and internal Printpack teams, responsible for translating customer demand into optimized production plans that balance inventory efficiency with service excellence. This role manages complex account portfolios through advanced analytical capabilities, proactive forecasting, and effective cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. The position requires an entrepreneurial mindset to drive continuous improvement initiatives that optimize costs and enhance operational efficiency for both Printpack and customers.

Production Planning & Forecasting
  • Analyze customer forecasts to proactively plan production schedules
  • Incorporate demand changes and fluctuations into production planning
  • Balance production resources to optimize efficiency and meet customer requirements
  • Manage Trial System data and processes
Order & Inventory Management
  • Process items, orders, and shipment releases accurately and timely, ensuring optimal product delivery through effective order management
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels across assigned accounts
  • Execute shipment releases to meet customer delivery expectations
Customer Relations & Communication
  • Serve as primary point of contact for daily operational matters between customers and internal groups
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external customers
  • Facilitate seamless information flow between customers and Printpack teams
  • Resolve customer issues quickly and effectively
  • Conduct customer visits to strengthen relationships and understand operational needs
Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Develop and maintain inventory status reports for customers and internal stakeholders
  • Create and manage order tracking systems and dashboards
  • Generate trial reports to support customer and internal operations
  • Perform advanced data analysis using Excel and enterprise systems
  • Conduct forecast analysis to identify trends and potential issues
Collaboration & Teamwork
  • Manage increased account responsibility and complexity across multiple customers
  • Mentor and support team members in developing skills and capabilities
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, and quality teams to ensure seamless operations
Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field, OR equivalent experience
  • Customer service, demand planning, or related analytical role preferred
Required Skills:
  • Customer service or order management experience and demonstrated success in customer-facing roles and service delivery
  • Strong data entry and computer proficiency with high accuracy and speed in system navigation and information processing
  • ERP systems experience with the ability to learn and efficiently operate order management and inventory systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Excel for data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for professional customer interactions and internal stakeholder coordination
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to research customer issues, interpret data patterns, and develop effective solutions
  • Attention to detail and accuracy for precise order entry, data management, and quality assurance in all customer-facing activities
  • Multi-tasking and time management capabilities to handle multiple concurrent customers, orders, and priorities effectively
  • Relationship building and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external customers
  • Report development and data analysis experience with the ability to create customer-facing documentation and status reports
  • Customer complaint resolution and service recovery skills, including investigation, root cause analysis, and follow-through capabilities
  • Travel flexibility and availability for occasional customer visits, relationship development, and on-site support activities
